Underage drinking is out of control.

The amount of items on the news is enormous regarding people who are underage and getting drunk and fighting with others -mostly strangers - or killing someone all because they are drunk. Every day me and my friend walk to school, and it’s not like our area is really rough but I can guarantee that you will find at least four cans and maybe a bottle or two of alcohol. I’m not saying that Cardiff is the only place that has underage drinking, but it seems to be the main target in the news and papers.

There are lots of adverts on the telly saying things like ‘IF YOU SMOKE YOUR CHILDREN WILL COPY’, but I think they need to focus on alcohol too. If adults drink around children from a young age it will begin to seem like an okay thing to do, but it can turn into a habit and as everyone knows habits are really hard to give up.

A recent newspaper article that appeared in Cardiff was about pregnant women drinking. I think this is appalling! If drinking was so hard for these people, why even try for a baby when you know that during the pregnancy you are destroying the baby’s future.

All I’m saying is: ‘DONT DRINK UNDER THE AGE OF 18!’
